Its good that she had her grandchildren to love and to have her realize she still had reasons to live. How joyful her soul must have felt, whenever she was reunited with him again.

Superb band. I saw them in a Northern Irish club in '83 (as a three piece). This video isn't the best representation of them, sadly.

There were two presenters on OGWT around this time. Mark Ellen (the prick in the video) and Andy Kershaw. Both hated hard rock/metal. They had a poll one year for the greatest song/video and Bat Out of Hell came top. The two presenters absolutely looked disgusted as the introduced the video. Tossers!

Some of us in America knew about Whitesnake but Johnny Sykes made Whitesnake in America. Great guitar player I first heard John in Thin Lizzy. Those two Whitesnake albums he helped make were awesome. I saw him on the Slide it in tour.

I grew up in the shadow of Boxhill and worked at the biker caf Rykas in 1990. Finally got to see DRN at the Marquee when it was on Charing Cross Road in about 1990. I was right at the front and this auld biker babe looked at me and was like “your first time seeing them..?” Cos I was only 17!! They came on with loads of multicoloured silly string everywhere. It was great fun.

And people still give out about bus corridors in 2024
